Are Your Kids Smart Snackers?

We already tackled healthy lunches, but one of the biggest nutrition pitfalls can occur during snack time. Think a handful of greasy potato chips can’t hurt your child? Think again. That is why we are hosting our second installment of our healthy eating Twitter party series, this time focusing on the “fourth meal” of the day, snacking.

Join @GoodGuide and dietitians @TobyAmidor and @LazyDietitian on Monday, October 3rd at 6pm PT/ 9pm ET as we spend an hour chatting about how you can equip your kids with healthy snacks in every situation from pre-sports practice to long car trips.

Want some pre-party advice? GoodGuide dietitian Sheila Viswanathan recommends you trash the junk food and stick with fresh fruit as your go-to snack. To get you started on your healthy snacking endeavors, we have partnered with fruit experts Edible Arrangements (@DoFruit) to give away Kids Collection Fruit Baskets to four lucky winners! Your kids will be enticed to enjoy fresh fruit with these healthy bouquets chock-full of nutritious honeydew, cantaloupe, strawberries and grapes cut into fun shapes. We also will be giving away reusable snack bags from Reuseit to keep snack time eco-friendly. Just use the hashtag #GGMoms to follow and win!
